    Description

I am listing a Yamaha  made in Japan Club Custom in 16x22.    Shell is from 1994/1995  and the color is called midnight confetti or midnight green confetti.  The color looks like a dark green confetti  sparkle finish.   When i first bought this bass drum about 10 years ago it had just came out from being repaired .  I bought this from a drumshop in Austin , texas and the owner told me that this bass drum was dropped on the edge and it had a cracked hoop.  The owner of the drum shop ordered a new replacement hoop to replace the cracked hoop in the same finish  .    He also was able to fix a section of the bottom shell that had a slight crack on the ply .   The owner told me that there was  still a visible surface clearcoat crack  and wasn't going to go any further on fixing the clear coat crack cause that meant stripping down the whole shell and refinishing it.    The repair didn't look bad at all and he also showed me the original cracked hoop and had  ordered a brand new replacement hoop in the same finish that took around 90 days to come in.  I decided to buy it  and used it for many many years in the studio cause it had an incredible sound .    I posted some pictures so u can see for yourself.
When i bought the shell it already had a haze look on the shell  and the replacement hoop looks slightly darker than the other hoop.  I took the whole shell apart and polished and buffed the shell to hopefully try to remove some of the  haze look.  After during some deep research and reaching out to yamaha ,  one of the drum  reps told me that they use to use epoxy resin clear back in the 90's for sparkles finishes and that it didn't have a UV stabilizer in the clear so thats why it would haze over time if u didn't keep up with polishing the shell.  They have now switched over to a much better clear resin that doesn't leave a haze anymore and has a higher UV (ultraviolet ) light rating.
    Here are some specifications :
