Condition of Bayonet - Armory Shortened to 9-3/4"
Still retains 50% of original Parkerizing.
Obvious signs of sharpening on tip and blade.
Grip panels are excellent, Release mechanism functions  excellent.

" USN " &  "Mk1"

Condition of Scabbard - Almost excellent, no abuse, cracks or evident flaws.
No signs of undue scraping on edges.

Original era manufactured as a 16" blade length bayonet, made by U.C. in 1942.
It was later armory modified by having the blade cut down to appx 10 inch length, (some have a stamp on the reverse of the blade stating, U.C.- MOD.) This specimen does not.
The blade is very clean, with 50% of the original parkerizing finish remaining.
Very clean guard and pommel, lock button works properly, and a very sound pair of black plastic grips.
