WWII German K98 bayonet with unusual scabbard and frog

WWII German K98 bayonet with unusual scabbard and frog.  The bayonet is marked Horster/6696 I has some surface rust in spots but not too bad and some taps to the top of the bayonet.  The handle is the bake lite type.  The scabbard fits but looks to be for another type of Mauser bayonet with a rounder ball.  It is serial numbered 16715.  The scabbard retains its original bluing and one very tiny ding in it.  The frog is not marked and is well u sed.  The bayonet and scabbard appear to have been together for some time perhaps since the war.  I am not sure what bayonet the scabbard is for but this one does fit in it rather nicely.
