WWII GERMAN K98 BAYONET DATED 1942 MADE BY PAUL WEYERSBERG & CO. - NO SCABBARD

Description

Up for auction is this great WWII German K98 (M98/05) bayonet.  Marked on blade "42crs" on one side for 1942 and the manufacturer Paul Weyersberg & Co. (1940-1944).   Marked with the serial numbers "9574" on the other side.  No scabbard or frog.  Some discoloration on blade and other metal parts but blade is till sharp and clean and metal exhibit a great vintage patina.  Minor oxidation.  Handle guards have some rather minor expected wear but are still in quite clean, nice shape with deep grooves and nice coloration.  Measures about 14 3/4 inches long, approximate sight measurement.  A great piece offered with NO RESERVE!!
