Description

WWII German Mauser M1884/98 Bayonet. Ricasso is marked "94" over "u" on one side, the reverse side has "E.u.F. Horster" and the spine has "40" for 1940. The wood grips have been replaced, so have the rivets, the pommel and crossguard have been painted black at some point. The pommel is double Waffenampt marked "WaA883". The blade has been aggressively sharpened and there are some age spot scattered throughout. Lock button is stuck, it is Waffenampt marked "WaA253". Length of the blade measures 9 13/16" (1" wide x 3/16" thick spine) and length of the bayonet is 15 1/16".
