WWII Elite Diamant 1938 German Matching #s M84 K98 Mauser Bayonet+Scabbard+Frog

Description

Pre-WWII German Mauser M1884/98 Bayonet with Scabbard and Frog. Ricasso is marked "3977" over "a" on one side and on the other side is "Elite Diamant". The grips are solid with some scratches and a few nicks. The blade retains 95% of the bluing, it has not been sharpened, the tip is a little sharp, the spine is marked "38" for 1938, and there are a few small nicks along the blade edge. The pommel has a double Waffenamt mark with a Heer eagle over "218" and the pommel overall has some light surface rust

Lock button is functional. The scabbard has matching marks to the bayonet "3977" over "a" on one side and on the backside is "Elite Diamant" over "1938". The scabbard is solid with no dents, light surface rust mainly on the lower half, and the ball finial is marked with a Heer eagle over "218". The leather frog shows wear, the stitching is tight, and the strap is complete with no tears but there is a slice above the frog stud hole, there is something stamped onto the backside (illegible to me). Length of the blade measures 9 7/8" (1" wide x 3/16" thick spine), length of the bayonet is 15 1/8", overall in the scabbard it is 15 7/8", and the frog alone is 9".
