WWII E. Pack & Sohn-Solingen German K98 Short Mauser Bayonet w/Scabbard & Frog

Description

WWII German Mauser Short Bayonet with Scabbard and Frog. Ricasso is marked with a man swinging a hammer over "E. Pack & Sohn" over "Solingen". Made with a split nut handle. The blade is straight, tight, mostly clean, unsharpened and the tip is sharp. Lock button is functional. Light nickel freckles on the pommel and crossguard. The black enameled scabbard is solid with no dents but does have paint loss mostly on the frontside. The leather frog shows wear, crazing throughout, stitching has let go 1" on one side corner, there is a 3/4" tear on the reverse corner, and the felt backer is mostly complete. Leather washer is missing. Length of the blade measures 7 13/16" (7/8" wide x 3/16" thick spine), length of the bayonet is 12 1/2", overall in the scabbard it is 13 5/8", and the frog alone is 8 1/2".
