WWII C. Gustav Spitzer-Solingen German Fire Bayonet w/Scabbard + Frog

Description

WWII German Fire Bayonet with Scabbard and Frog. Ricasso is marked "C. Gustav Spitzer" over a lion, over "Solingen". The blade has not been sharpened but the tip is sharp, it is straight, clean, has some light scratches near the tip. The pommel and crossguard have some surface loss. The black enameled scabbard is solid with no dents, scattered paint loss mainly on one edge, and the frog stud has been modified. Leather washer is intact. The leather frog shows light wear with mostly tight stitching (the top corners are starting to loosen) and light crazing. Length of the blade measures 9 1/16" (15/16" wide x 1/4" thick spine), length of the bayonet is 14 5/8", and overall in the scabbard it is 15 7/8". The frog alone is 7 3/4"
