WWII Anton Wingen Jr. Solingen German K98 Mauser Knife Bayonet w/Scabbard & Frog

Description

WWII German Mauser Short Bayonet with Scabbard and Frog. Ricasso is marked "Anton Wingen Jr." over a Knight and over "Solingen". The blade has scratches but not been sharpened, the tip is sharp and the blade has a wiggle. Lock button is functional. The black enameled scabbard is solid with no dents and the paint looks crackled on the front side with very little paint loss mainly on the edges. The leather frog shows little wear and the stitching is tight but there is a slit near the frog stud. Leather washer is intact. Part of a red felt piece is still in the mauser groove. Length of the blade measures 7 15/16" (15/16" wide x 1/4" thick spine), length of the bayonet is 12 3/4", overall in the scabbard it is 13 7/8", and the frog alone is 8 1/4".
