Fresh from San Francisco estate sale
K98 long dress bayonet with scabbard
Single edged, 9 ½ inch plated blade remains unsharpened & unmodified
Stamped lion "C. Gustav Spitzer Solingen" maker mark is very clear
Brown leather buffer pad is present & intact
The steel scabbard is very straight, worn but undented, it has protected the blade well
The interior runner is present with a light wiggle
The original throat retaining screw and frog lug remain intact
The ball remains perfectly round
Hilt has surface corrosion but would clean up well
One black checkered grip plate is very nice the other shows some surface wear & a small chipped edge piece Minor wiggle to grips. The locking button works nicely.
Some dress bayonets are not mountable on a K98, this is a mountable version
Approx 15.5" long overall when sheathed
