Walrus Audio's first dedicated bass pedal, Badwater, is an all-in-one preamplifier D.I. that enhances the bass sound that is the cornerstone of your ensemble. Equipped with an optical compressor, overdrive, and 4-band EQ section. Create warm cleans, harsh chords, powerful distortion, and even bright, crisp slap tones.
Optical compressor with overdrive Control Sustain The internal optical compressor is in the first stage of the circuit and is always on. When the Sustain knob is turned all the way down, the compressor's effect is minimal, and as you raise the knob, the input signal is compressed and richer sustain is achieved. drive & voice Adds subtle to deep distortion to give the sound shine and edge. If you use the voice switch, you can choose between high-end, mid-range, and low-end to increase the drive. level The drive control features a separate level knob to boost or cut the drive signal. blend Use the blend knob to blend the clean and drive signals. The clean and drive signals operate in parallel, allowing you to blend the clean and drive signals for increased clarity. Shaping and EQ Compatible with all genres of music with a wide variety of EQ options.
