Vintage Royal Winton Grimwades Byzanta Lustre Ware
KOOKABURRAS pattern on Teapot Tile / Trivet
Made in England
Great
condition - vibrant colors in pattern
Black "KOOKABURRAS" "Grimwades" backstamp with "Stoke on Trent" & "England" in Globe & Sash logo.
Piece dates to the late 1920's
No chips / cracks / repairs / staining.
Minor glaze wear from use noted (see pics)
Minor age related crazing.
Teapot Tile / Trivet is approx 6.125" in diameter
Kookaburras
pattern features a polychrome transfer, on a white, beige, or gray ground, of two kookaburras sitting on a branch with many leaves above them. The pattern is also put on orange (
4943
) and pink (
5218
) grounds. The pair of birds can face right or left, and the amount of leaves varies.
