Vintage RCA Victor 45 RPM Record Player Model 45-J-2 POWERS ON! for parts/repair

Description

I plugged this in for a couple seconds, turned on the switch on the deck, and the turntable started turning!  Still would need some TLC before using:
* Label on the bottom is loose, needs re-gluing.
* Crack in the left, back corner of the Bakelite housing, see last photo.  Cosmetic only.
* Red wire on the arm is cut or broken, see photos.
* Plug and speaker cord are both attached and supple, but do those cords need to be replaced?
* Scuffing and maybe a cigarette burn (?) on the deck.  What looks like a scorch mark near the arm.
* looking through the underside, it's pretty clean inside, and the deck looks like it's made of a solid copper sheet.  Wow.
* Otherwise, this thing is cute!!!
