Vintage RCA 1951 Model A101 RC1096 Record Player Radio Works. Condition is "Used".
This RCA appears to be in all original condition.
The radio works good on AM, it doesn't pick up FM as good. I did a little research on this model
and it was said that this was early FM and they don't pick up FM very well.
The tuner works smooth and the radio sounds good, no adverse noise, speaker seems solid and
sounds good.
It appears to have all original tubes, I had the power tubes tested and they are at about 70%.
They have 1951 date codes.
These are the only 2, I took out had had tested, but it works good as is.
Both of the record players will need service. You can hear the motors running but they don't turn.
They will need new needles, I am not sure they have needles in them.
The overall condition I think is pretty good for the age. Finish is cracked mostly on the front and
of course scratches and wear overall. Grill cloth is in good shape. NO cats.
I believe there is a back panel that covered the radio amp that is missing.
One very cool thing about this radio is that it has a light on the front lower panel so you can see
when it is on with the doors closed. And it works. It was on when I took pics but not sure if that can
be seen.
Hinges and latches on the doors are good.
