Description,
You are bidding on this vintage compass in original 8” square dovetailed box. Compass and gimbal are black painted brass with some paint chipping. Compass measures 5 3/8” diameter, gimbal is 6 1/4” round. Painted dial is clear. Some corrosion to set screws and outer ring. Box with no cracks or missing parts and locks as it should. Shows some wear consistent with age and use.
