    Description

Belgian Coticule Slurry Stone ,Bout, Ships From USA. Condition is "New". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
For the minimalist but demanding straight razor honers out there, here is a coticule from the special layer "Les Latneuses". The Les Lat stones have a Coticule layer and a hybrid layer. The hybrid side has a "marbly" or ‘swirled’ patterning which is quite stunning.
This Les Lat Combo slurry stone is a real nice addition to your sharpening setup. This layer is eminently considered one of the best for razors and fine blades; and has long been cherished by the straight razor community.
They are of the highest available quality "Selected Plus". Being natural stones, they highlight (just like Jnats, and unlike artificial 'shiny' finish stones) the contrast of whatever combination of metals the bevel provides; making them ideal to showcase the craftmanship behind laminated or damascus blades.
    They are very rare.
The pictures are exactly the stone you will get.
Do not use thick slurry but stay with a milky consistence. Dilute the slurry occasionally with a finger dipped in water and enjoy one of the best stones that nature has carefully and patiently formed over the ages.
    --------
The grit of all coticules varies between 6000-8000 grit and can be stretched by braking down the slurry and playing with the pressure.
They are ideal for retouching the edge of a knife or razor on travels, can also be used as tomo-nagura on other finishing stones.
Before use sprinkle with water (Coticule whetstones don't need to be soaked beforehand). They produce slurry rather quickly, but a slurry stone will make it grind quicker and increase the versatility.
