    Description

Original, internal horn, standing Victrola in good, working condition. Model VV-XVI, 1915. Circassian & American Walnut Special Finish with conventional cabinets. According to the Victor-Victrola Page, there are a few indicators that show this to be a higher end machine. It has a large glass speed control and a separate mounted control knob. This design was used on the more expensive machines starting in 1914 for only two years. In 1912 Victor offered the improved concert soundbox as an upgrade item and based on the limited number of surviving examples, very few of these were sold. This machine appears to have that. It’s sliding lid support has a built in catch vs the simple external pin which could indicate that this was a “deluxe” model. Selling with records in great condition. Pick up only. Local pickup only in Maryland, NY until October 11, after that location will be Charlotte, NC.
