    Description

Pictured is a Victor IV with matching wood mahogany horn.
The phonograph is in exceptionally fine condition and plays smoothly.
The horn has had a repair in its past.
The back end apparently broke off and was repaired using fiberglass covered with the original metal end of a large Victor horn.
It is solid and original except for the repair and still has the original decal.
The machine and horn still look very good together as you can see in the pics.
I have included the newspaper from July 1, 1910 that was found inside which was used to catch oil drippings. I have started this at a low price and buy-it-now price as this phonograph generally sells for upwards of 00.00
I have provided large close-up photos.
Remember, flash photography generally makes things appear a bit nicer than natural light.
    LISTED SHIPPING NOT ACCURATE:
Please be aware that the shipping amount you see in the listing is only a guess- estimate posted by eBay and NOT accurate.
Two boxes will be needed to ship this item.
There is no way to calculate accurate insured shipping until the auction is over. If you have questions, please ask them well before the auction ends. No discounts on shipping, buyer pays ACTUAL shipping, no exceptions.  If Buy-It-Now requires payment of the listed shipping amount, buyer pays only ACTUAL shipping which will be adjusted later by a refund or additional invoice.
If you win, please wait for my invoice.
Do not pay the first “Pay Now” invoice generated by eBay.
Otherwise, you may be making two PayPal payments instead of one or paying inaccurate shipping.
Although eBay requires an estimated rate, buyer pays only actual insured shipping to their location.
    Insurance is required.
Items are shipped within 10 days after payment is received.
Thanks for looking and good luck with your bid.
    Additional Terms:
Buyer pays actual shipping (destination, weight & insurance). Shipping costs are subject to adjustment (+ or -) based on the estimate.
Upon payment, Buyer unconditionally assumes responsibility for any and all damage or loss in transit (I will assist you in filing a claim, I am not an insurer). You must save photos of damage to the box or the post office will not accept a claim.) Insurance is no guarantee that the post office will pay on the claim.
Accepted form of payment is PayPal
Payment must be made no later than 72 hours after you receive my invoice, not the automatic invoice generated by eBay.
Otherwise, you may lose the item and be reported to eBay for nonpayment.
Insurance is required for your protection and its cost will be added to the shipping cost based on final winning bid price
I reserve the right to refuse to sell to anyone with negative feedback
I reserve the unconditional right to cancel the auction at any time
Please view all photos and please email any question. I do my best to describe the item; however, I am not an expert in all fields and it is always possible to miss something. Descriptions are subjective; therefore, I cannot guarantee your satisfaction.
Buyer represents that he/she has knowledge about the item being purchased and is not relying solely on any representations made by Seller.
Packing is done carefully. Shipping occurs within 10 days after payment has cleared accurate information or corrections from bidders is always welcome.
If this auction is open, or subsequently made open, to international bidders, Overseas buyers pay all costs associated with packing, shipping, handling, forwarding, or other expenses incurred to ship outside the Continental U.S. In addition, if you bid, you are bound by the following rules:
Insurance is required on your purchase if possible. Even if insurance is limited or not possible, you are solely responsible for any and all loss or damage in transit and hereby waive any claim using eBay’s resolution center.
Winning bidder is responsible for customs duties and taxes.
They are not included in the item price or shipping charges.
Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.
These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.
Your winning item will not be marked as a “gift.”
Winning bidder pays actual international duty and shipping cost to their country, not the estimate set forth in the listing which is based on U.S. domestic shipments. Please note that the U.S. Postal service sets insurance limits for
various countries so your item may not be able to be fully insured. There are box size limitations that limit the ability to include adequate protective packing materials. If you bid, you accept and agree to such limitations. Also be aware that the U.S. Postal service cannot accurately track shipments sent priority mail international. They can track Express Priority Mail but the cost is significantly greater. Although I pack items very well, there is also a significant risk of damage (assumed by buyer) to international shipments due to mishandling by freight handlers and forwarders. Assume that international shipments will arrive with some damage. Seller has no liability whatsoever for domestic or international shipping or handling and buyer waives any damage claims against seller through eBay’s dispute resolution center.
    Note to International buyers:
After nearly 20 years, I will no longer be offering any items on eBay to international buyers.
The reason is that eBay’s (Paypal and eBay) resolution centers summarily make Sellers an insurer (in favor of buyers) for shipping negligence beyond the control of the Seller and outside of
U.S. insurance claim time limits. (This is true even if the package reaches the foreign country but is lost by their local postal authorities).
Shipping damage or non-arrivals are more common on International deliveries and cannot be tracked by U.S. Postal.
Please do not ask if an item can be shipped to a foreign country.
    The answer will be no.
The only exception will be if you have a U.S. shipping destination.
Thank you for your past and continued patronage.
