Unique fishing lure black with yellow spots (possibly hand made)

Description

This is a lure from our late dad’s collection.
It seems to be a hand made wood lure about 4 inches long.
Nothing similar was found during an Internet search.
Dad was a serious fisherman for most of his 86 years.
And, he never spent money on lures that would not catch fish!
So, dad must have felt that this lure was worth it.
