TreeHouse Custom Drums: CS-20 Compact Nesting
This CS-20 Compact Nesting Kit from TreeHouse Custom Drums is a 2018 build. The shells are 100% maple. I am the original owner of this 4-piece kit. Custom color: a red version of their standard 'satin wax'. I also had them add a 'kick-stand' on the hi-hat side of the kick to help stabilize it when using the snare mount (see photos).
Only played this for a handful of live shows and recording sessions. Is in overall excellent condition. The wood hoop on the batter side of the kick has some marks from the claws being in different positions, and the hardware that holds the floor tom legs has some marks as well. The seam lip on the kick has been beat up a bit from transporting around, but this has had no effect on the sound or fit. Other than this, there may be other kinds of small cosmetic defects that I have not noticed.
The heads are all extremely fresh. The batter head on the kick, batter on the snare, and both the tops and bottoms of the toms are Aquarian Texture Coated (single-ply). Snare side is an Aquarian Classic Clear. The resonant on the kick is a Remo Fiberskyn (with the Remo crown blacked out) with the Tree House logo sticker. NOTE: the resonant heads of the kick have to be tom heads because of the triple-flange hoop (the idea is that this design helps keep the kick lighter/smaller). I'll be keeping the felt strips shown in the photos, so just ignore those.

Latches on the floor tom allow for the mounted tom to be nested inside. Stack that floor tom and the snare inside the latched bass drum, and you've got a 4-piece kit in one drum case. Throw the included tom arms and floor tom legs in a backpack or small hardware bag with the rest of your hardware, and you're off to the gig in one trip!
The 12” mounted tom has sharp bearing edges with a thicker shell for more cut and projection while the 16" floor tom has rounded bearing edges dressing a thinner shell to bring out the low-end. The bass's rounded bearing edges for bigger boom and the snare's double 45 edges for clarity round out the tone of these four drums to let them really sing!
Four lightweight spring clamps on each of the floor tom and bass drum shells securely attach the two parts of each of these drums. To be sure that they line up perfectly, the "Seam Lips" make for airtight, rattle-free assembly every time you set up!
