What you are buying is the PAPER SLEEVE. You are getting the disc with content for FREE. You will NOT be getting the actual LASERDISC.
The FREE content is a LASERDISC transfer of the Transformers The Movie in JAPANESE language with NO SUBTITLES. Content has been edited together from both sides of the disc. Meaning no “disc loading” or “play” icons. Movie is seamless.
Transfer is taken from the pioneer release of TFTM. Image is 4x3 with the black pillars on the sides. Photos are taken from screen shots of the actual disc content.
**The pictures have a weird window effect. The movie will fill the screen as if you were watching a 4x3 tv show. Screen shots taken from computer.**
Disc is maxed out at 25 Mbps with PCM 48 KHz, 16 bit, stereo audio on a 25 GB BD-R disc. Again, Disc and content are free.
It does have chapter stops but no menu. Will play in your Blu-ray player.
If you wanted to watch the movie in Japanese, but don’t want to invest in the expensive Laserdisc on top of getting a player, this is a good option.
