  • Condition: Lamp in fine to fair condition, catch on clear glass side with piece broken off, few subtle dents and spots of black paint missing on body exterior as well as some subtle areas of rust, bezels with rust especially around red glass, red glass door is not opening likely due to rust but may possibly open with some oil and patience, regulator screw is not moving easily and may require a oil or a wrench for adjustments, handle with some rust spots pivots easily and catch for handle is present and functioning; interior of lamp body was discovered with a defunct hornet's nest inside which has been removed but still requires a heafty cleaning, interior is very rusty, wick is present; both clear and red glass with surface dirtiness, some cloudiness, and pitting but do not appear to have any chips, flakes, or cracks.

    Rayo kerosene driving lamp, handle with divot for hanging use as well, one connector arm, coronet Burner, red glass on one side and clear magnifying glass on the other, base on clear glass side marked "Rayo Driving Lamp" and faded September 1911 patent marking on plate under regulator screw. Measures approximately 11"h x 7.5"w.
