RARE - Vintage Antique Dietz #3 Large Lantern or Street Globe 11" Tall NY USA

Description

Estate Sale Item:  Hard to find, extra large Dietz lantern or street globe.  Old glass with a slight purple tint (in certain light).  Embossed Dietz #3 New York U.S.A.  Some glass bubbles   Some chips around the top and bottom and a hairline crack at the top rim (see photo).  Otherwise in good condition for it's age.
Measures:  approx. 11" tall
approx. 5 3/4" across top opening
approx. 6" across bottom opening
It's about 8" across (at the widest point)
I pack with lots of packing material, which sometimes adds to the shipping costs,
but better safe than broken.
Most of my listings are estate sale finds and because I don't know the history, I can't guarantee they are from a pet or smoke free home

I try my best to review items for any defects, cracks or chips, and make a note of anything I find in my description.
I am not an expert, so please look closely at what you are purchasing. Most if not all antique and vintage pieces have normal wear and some irregularities from the manufacturing process, so please keep that in mind when you are purchasing a used item.

Unfortunately because of some bad experiences with the Post Office, I cannot combine shipping.
If the item arrives broken, I will refund your winning bid, but will not reimburse for postage unless there was an actual defect in the item.
