    Description

High quality, adhesive vinyl decal, accurately reproduced as per original, for replacement, or finishing touch on your vintage drum restoration project.   60s/70s era logo, as used on bass drum resonant, (front) head.  Isolated, die-cut letters, on transfer sheet for accurate placement.  Please look for more vintage logos in the 'Vintage Percussion' catagory.*
These old Japanese drums are starting to become quite collectible, especially the ones with unique wraps, and finishes.  A lot of these old sets have held up really well over the years, and are quite playable to this day, and can really be quite impressive when polished, tuned up and brought back to life.  As a drum restorer myself, I find that a kit is just not complete without a nice, fresh, brand logo on the bass drum resonant head.  For just a few bucks, you can turn that nice old drum set into a real showpiece.  Also nice, if you have a kit that has no badges - pictured kit is of this brand, and era, and can be used for identification purposes*.
Most of these, 60s, early 70s, 'MIJ', or 'stencil'  kits were produced by three main manufacturers, Pearl,  Star (later; Tama), and Hoshino, though they were badged under dozens of different names for the North American market.  Names such as Stewart, and Crown for example, were used by more than one manufacturer - it can get a little confusing, but I've tried to match logos to corresponding kits pictured for each, as best I can.
I am a commercial, graphic artist, as well as a drummer, drum collector, and restorer, and have decided to try and combine my skills to reproduce some, harder to find, or otherwise unavailable logos for my fellow drum enthusiasts.  I've sold quite a few of these with positive response.  Decals work best on smooth, plastic heads, but also work on coated heads, (or any, relatively smooth surface for that matter) - recommend placing sheet of paper over decal after application, and burnish with credit card or similar, to make sure all edges are adhered.
I hope to keep adding to my logo selection, so your support is appreciated, and requests are welcome.  Please see my other listings for more, hard to find logos from Asia, Europe, and North America.  Thanks for looking.
