    Description

    Decorative Japanese traditional mino rain cape:
    I don't know the vintage.  I bought it at auction from a collector of Asian items of various ages.
    There are no maker's marks that I can find.
    It does not look aged enough to be antique.  My best guess is late 20th century.
    It looks like it may have never been worn.  There are no notable stains or wear marks.
    Nicely woven of grass (or palm) fiber to create an attractive design, particularly around the collar.
    It's hard to give precise dimensions, but it's approx. 12" wide at the bottom x 18" wide at the top x 38" long (not including the straps).
    It weighs a little under 2.5 pounds.
