For sale 1 German World War 2 Model 1884/98 III Bayonet for 98K Rifle. This bayonet will also mount on many other Mauser 1898 based rifles.
Overall length: 15.25". Blued blade length: 10". Ricasso marked "44 fze" & "8556". "agv" is the manufacturer's code for F. W. Höller, Solingen. Brown bakelite grips. Pommel marked w/ "eagle Waa519" by butt. Mismatched blued scabbard marked "955 /g" & "43 crs". Plate on spine marked w/ indiscernable "eagle Waa" proof.
CONDITION: Blued blade fading to brown & gray w/ patina & light pitting. Blued spine blade shows handling marks, oxidation & pitting. Other bayonet metal faded to brown showing patina & light oxidation. Grips have faded finish w/ handling marks. Scabbard fading to brown w/ light pitting, patina, oxidation & some heavy dents.
