Made by F. W. Höller, a classic Weimar rework, and boy did they know their bladesmithing. Truly outstanding, picked up from the son of the vet in person, just back from the Stan, who wanted to buy a motorcycle and hit the road, this is about 15 years ago. His Dad was very very clear that no one was hurt in the capture of this side-arm, if that makes any difference.
Obviously super cared for always, unbelievable condition for age, looks as good now as it did then. Typical pockmarks on the back on the handle from posting leaflets, which was about as much action as these saw. Gorgeous frog, leather is outstanding, beautifully preserved portapee knot.
The scabbard matches the blade 100%, same unit and #, can't get a pic without stressing the leather and I'm not going to do that.
No disappointments, it is all it should be.
