    Description

This is a Chicago, Milwaukee, and St. Paul (Milwaukee Road) Railroad Adlake bell bottom switchman's lantern. The patent date on the rim is May 28, 1895. This lantern also has a brass top, and includes a red, cast, Corning globe with the cast "CNX" logo and "C.M. & St. P. Ry" cast into the globe as well. Extrememly rare and hard to find globe!! There is some surface rust and some pitting on the lantern metal, but lots of original surface finish is still present. The only "drawback" is it needs a new lid closure clip, but we will include a new one with the lantern at no extra charge, so if you want to add it, you can, or you can leave the lantern in its original state. Twist off fount removes easily. Comes with a replacement Adlake burner as well. An excellent display piece for a serious Milwaukee Road or railroad lantern collector.
