USED
Athearn 40' reefer underframes, some painted white by the factory, installed, and then somebody changed their mind, had these removed and placed in storage. You may get white painted frames or they may be black and unpainted frames or both. We acquired these and are making some available to you here on Ebay. This offer is for 4 underframes only, no other parts. We have used these parts on regular Athearn
blue box
boxcars and also used them to make 50' frames for all of Athearn's 50' cars when the right parts were unavailable (see last photo). Sometimes one just has to do what it takes to keep the hobby moving along.
These are used items and are sold "as is".

Combined Shipping:
Yes, we are happy to give you a combined shipping total, but you should e-mail us and request it when you are all finished shopping and the auctions you are bidding on have ended. We try and watch for this, but are far from perfect.
Please note, due to time constraints and other business responsibilities, we close our eBay business every week at noon on Friday and then re-open for shipping and such late on Sunday. We ship as soon as possible after you pay for your items, however sometimes next day is just not possible if our mailman fails to honor the pickup requests.
Postage:
Postage fee's are more than what USPS charges a vendor, Ebay tack's on about 11% on top of that USPS postage fee, and then vendors have to buy shipping materials like bubble wrap, boxes, and mailing envelopes when sending items not shipped via Priority Mail. So while USPS Priority Mail is just a bit over our cost, FIRST CLASS has much higher overhead and does not carry insurance as we have to purchase all our own materials. If you think our postage is too high, then please shop elsewhere, don't buy something and then penalize our ratings on shipping costs because we are only trying to cover those shipping costs. We are limited to Ebay's software which is not the best at calculating these fee's, they tend to overcharge and not really consider close destinations vs. far away locations.
