Antique Vintage Patented 1887 TUBULAR Kerosene Oil Barn RR Lantern Lamp with Glass Font.
The lantern measures about 19 1/2 inches tall with the handle up and 14 inches tall with the handle down, 6 inches across the bottom.  The lantern is strong and sturdy but as you can see in the pictures there is solder repair all around the base that was done a long time ago.  Someone painted the lantern gold many years ago but the finish below looks nice and not all rusted and pitted.  There are a few dings/dents here and there but no splits or cracks.  The thumbscrew works properly and the wick goes up and down.  The globe measures about 6 5/8 inches tall, 3 3/8 inches across the bottom and 2 3/4 inches across the top.  No cracks or large chips on the globe.  The glass font has no cracks or chips.
