Transit lock button at the bow when depressed will "lock", however, the compass card sits on an angle  (not sure if functioning 100%)
Pin on the reversed when pressed also functions to temporarily "lock" the compass
Window and prism glass, are in good condition, however there is are some paint or dirt specks on the underside of the glass.  No chips in the glass, however.
Hairline is visible, but there is an area where it is partially worn.
Compass card looks to be in good condition
Compass moves nicely and looks to be finding North relatively well, but that is no 100% guaranteed
Has scratch marks and wear in the black oxidization
There are some dark specks under the glass, around the silver edging
No patent number apparent

And lastly, affixed or set rhinestones, stones, beads, pearls, etc., may come loose or fall off, especially, those that are glued in versus faceted.  This can happen during travel or even minor wear.  Hand washing or cleaning of jewelry can cause stones to become loose.  We check our items to ensure they are not loose or missing adornments when shipping (unless noted as such in the listing).  Once again, we do not guarantee against loss of adornments after wear.
