Adlake Great Northern Railway GN Nunn Train Order Signal Railroad Lamp Lantern

Up for auction is a rarer Adlake “Nunn” train order signal lamp, marked for the Great Northern Railway. This style of lamp (with oval lamp tip base) was used at branchline depots, atop the Swift train order signal and once alerted trains to stop for orders or proceed. Lamp is in very good condition. It’s believed that this lamp was a later shop production of the GN and once sported day targets, (which show up in multiple photos of GN depots especially in Minnesota). Lamp is nicely restored and fully functional. Lenses are all glass and in good condition. Ventilation is intact, as is fount, burner, and Pyrex chimney.
