Betsy has brunette hair, with both barrettes. Rubber skull cap wig. Beautiful face color. Split crotch, about 1/8 inch wide; a split on one side about 1/4 inch long. No split on knees or shoulders. Slight flare on one knee. Light red staining around her chest area in front and along her sides. There are 3 brown lines on one foot and ankle. See last picture.
Betsy's "Town and Country" dress and coat are in nice condition. No tears or holes. Some light bleed through from the red trim on the dress, and the white on the top of the dress is dingy. The coat could use some pressing at the hem in the back.
The black shoes have a split in one strap. The knobs are intact.
The box has a pink lid, which was used by either Montgomery Wards or Sears. It has the number "3002" on the end, which I have seen on the Betsy McCall logo box. The box has some stains and tape residue. On corner of the lid has a tear the length of it. Another corner has a 1/2 inch tear.
