60s 1966 Ludwig Super Classic 22 13 16 Burgundy Sparkle Drum Kit w Rail 3 Ply
Good luck finding an original rail mount Super Classic kit! Very desirable Burgundy Sparkle wrap. The wrap looks very nice with some wear, not much fade. (Pictures show a lot of reflections, there are very few minor scratches). 1960’s 1966 Keystone badge’s. 328,xxx on the 16” x 16” floor tom, 382,xxx on 13” x 9”, 399,000 on the 22” x 14” Bass drum. 3 ply shells with re-rings. Seams are tight. White interior, presumably maho gany. Date stamp’s are hard to read bass says Sep 1966. Bearing edges look good. The rail mount is the knurled version and holds tightly. There are two small knob tone control / muffler’s on each tom (2 on the 13, 2 on the 16). They adjust fine. Each of the mufflers have a fair amount of rust on the parts inside. No extra holes on any drum. Desirable knurled and short floor tom legs. Some rust and pitting in various places. (Some lugs should be taken off and polished, I’ll leave that to the next owner.) Bass drum has an original Weather Master batter and an unused Remo Weather King coated in front. The hoops look to have original paint except for an 18” section on the batter side. (Paint was coming off so I taped / sprayed a coat of glossy black paint). The toms each have what look like original top heads, bottoms are well worn.
