Square Body pickups are becoming more popular as the generation that remembers riding in them as kids are now gaining more disposable income, and can buy them. Nice trucks like this one are becoming increasingly hard to find. This truck was very nicely optioned from the factory, and remains a very nicely maintained pickup. Classic square body styling, straight body, nice paint, a V8 under the hood, and a tidy interior make this truck an awesome square body.
The exterior wears Canyon Copper (Code 55), just as it was optioned from the factory. The paint on the truck is in great condition and looks to have been applied recently. We believe the truck was repainted with the windows and trim removed since no overspray is evident. The paint is glossy, even, and was obviously applied by a professional. The trim is neatly applied and in great condition. Badges, door handles, "below-eye-line" mirrors, lights and lenses, and windows are in very nice condition. Chrome wheels wrapped in sticky tires brighten up the exterior. A slight forward rake and a cowl hood give the truck an aggressive look.
The interior is finished in the correct Saddle Tan (Code 62D) color scheme, which is what the truck left the factory with. Options like tilt wheel, sliding rear window, tinted glass, power windows and locks, air conditioning, AM/FM/Cassette stereo, and a quartz clock, are just some of the extras on this truck. The interior is in great condition from top to bottom. Seats, headliner, door panels, and carpet all show extremely well.
Under the hood is a 305ci V8 mated to an automatic transmission. The engine bay has been well kept and unlike most square bodies that we see, has been left completely stock. The option box for the auxiliary fuel tank was ticked when ordering the truck, along with power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning. The truck is from Tennessee, so no "rust belt" issues are present, just a solid clean underbody.
As the Square Body GM pickups gain more popularity, examples like this one will be increasingly hard to find. This truck is clean, well maintained, and solid.
