"America's number-one truck has a great new shape for 1967!" – Chevrolet 1967 sales brochure
The folks at Hagerty summarized the '67 C10's development and appeal: "Building on the successful first series of C/K pickup, Chevrolet launched a revised version in 1967. Coil springs remained at all four corners beneath the restyled 1967 Chevy C10, but a crisp, clean pickup appeared on the outside, and in some opinions the new Chevy looked even more modern than its half-ton Ford rival, which was also updated that year. Both Stepside and Fleetside availability carried over from 1966, and revised grilles continued to represent new model-year calling cards up through 1972."
Offered here is a resto-modded 1967 Chevy C10 pickup in custom white-and "patina-ed"-blue over black. With 77,706 miles on its odometer, or just 1,438 miles per-year on average, this lightly used platform was an ideal candidate for some individualized resto-modding.
The truck's exterior paint with its added "patina" is at once striking and beguiling. It begs onlookers to take a closer look. While the body has no rust, the look of the paint seems to suggest a hard life in the oil fields or out in farm country. But rubbing a hand across the smooth finish says otherwise. Indeed, the body panels are all in excellent condition and what appears to be a worn finish is in fact something of a fun, visual trick, a "wink" to the viewer that behind all this patina is more than meets the eye. There are no dings or dents in the body, chrome bumpers are in excellent condition, cabin glass is virtually perfect, and the stock steel wheels with stock hubcaps show no signs of age. The black-painted short-bed cargo floor shows signs of use (but no damage) consistent with a work truck's life.
Inside the truck's look is stock with a properly aged vibe: door trim is stock in black vinyl with fabric inserts, the dashboard retains its factory appearance and instrumentation with a factory Delco® AM radio. The automatic-transmission shifter is column-mounted; floors are covered with simple rubber mats; seat upholstery in basic black has the factory look. Yet there are indications that the pickup has benefitted from upgrades: a Grant® sport steering wheel is mounted and custom gauges for engine-coolant temperature, voltage output, and oil pressure hint at something special under the hood.
Lifting that hood removes any doubt that this is a work truck in its late years. The 454 cubic-inch V8's aluminum valve covers, "Chevrolet" branded chrome air cleaner, Edelbrock intake manifold, billet-aluminum componentry all communicates one word: performance. Or two words: serious performance. This is a dramatically upgraded powerplant in a well-organized, clean engine bay, all the result of a professional's touch. Viewed from below, the custom-created, dual, full-length exhaust system emanating from the engine's performance exhaust headers and exiting ahead of the rear wheels adds emphasis to that "serious performance" statement.
While the more than 135 high-definition photographs and the short walk-around-and-startup video available on the GarageKeptMotors website showcase this Chevy C10 pickup in detail from every angle, including from below, we expect and encourage in-person inspections at our Grand Rapids, Michigan showroom. Please call to arrange an appointment in advance as our showroom is not open to the public. And feel free to get in touch anytime by phone or email if you have questions.
This veteran-work-truck look with serious performance beneath the skin combination is a clever and powerful combination that will have onlookers puzzled at first, then delighted when they "get" it. This game of false-carding is certain to entertain and amaze on the street, as well as at weekend car shows and enthusiast gatherings. "Hey, take a look at this old pickup."

Our international exposure allows us to sell cars across the globe, and we sell a majority of them out of state and overseas. We deliver honesty and consistency in our photos and descriptions, a “no surprise” approach, so buyers, both near and far, can invest with confidence sight unseen. We are not a gallery.
