    Description

up for sale is this rare and amazing relic from WWII! (WW2). Solid brass Standard Electronic Indicator Fairwater planes rudder, stern plains indicator from Bendix Marine, USA.  Was found in a local retired Navy estate. I have searched and searched to try to ID where this originally came from, with no success (any info from an expert is appreciated!) He had a bunch of big ship brass and submarine items.
Ship's steering helm instrument? Engine room gauge? Submarine control? Radio navigation indication? Reserve IMN Left-Right 0-35 degrees. In amazingly good shape for being a wartime item!
    Marked:
Date 1942 Rec.  DWG. CAL-4545-IB (LB?) ALT. 115volts, 60 cycles. Bendix Aviation Corporation. Marine Division. BU (bureau) of Ships. Standard Electronic Indicator.
Dial is ID of 8" marked BENDIX ORY Brooklyn, NY.
its BIG and heavy. I've had some steering stations from old ships, and this would be too big for that. Would make a killer display piece or part of a stem punk or similar project! Weighs over 35 pounds without a crate.
    Anchors away!
