Dapper General Maxime Weygand, Generalissimo of the Allied Armies in France, is shown leaving the French War Office in Paris after a conference with the War Council. Experts predict that only a miracle stroke by Weygand can save the Allied Army trapped in Flanders by a Nazi ring. Yesterday the surrender of the Belgian Army by King Leopold tightened the jaws of the trap on the Allies. General Weygand (left) is followed by one of his aides.Photo measures 6.5 x 8.75inches.
