  • Condition: This ships compass is marked from 1919. It is a MARK 15 MOD O. The person I bought this from said it was purchased from a sale that came from stuff from the Mackinac Icebreaker Ship. This ship was turned into a museum in our small town and items were sold from the ship. There are no markings to indicate it as so. You would be able to contact the Icebreaker Mackinac Museum to perhaps have them identify this as the one that was on their ship. It is missing screws in several places on the face and I believe they would know if this was the one on their ship. I only have to go off what I was told but if it is verified they may sign something for it. Screws missing from face of compass. Everything else looks decent. Not tested.

    This ships compass is marked from 1919.  It is a MARK 15 MOD O.  The person I bought this from said it was purchased from a sale that came from stuff from the US Coast Guard Mackinaw Ship.  This ship was turned into a museum in our small town and items were sold from the ship.  There are no markings to indicate it as so.  You would be able to contact the Icebreaker Mackinac Museum to perhaps have them identify this as the one that was on their ship.  It is missing screws in several places on the face and I believe they would know if this was the one on their ship.  I only have to go off what I was told but if it is verified they may sign something for it.
